Supported Living
Most of our support for people with learning disabilities and/or autism is delivered through Supported Living – support for people living in their own home, whether alone or with others.
Whatever is needed, we tailor our support to each person, based on our principles of Person-Centred planning. Individuals receive support ranging from a few hours each week to round-the-clock care.
We promote choice and inclusion. By listening to the people and families we support, we shape a service that is as individual as they are.
We support people to get out and about and develop independent living skills. For people with even the most complex needs, we enable them to be part of their community, and to have more choice and control in their lives.
We believe that each person we support should have opportunities to develop relationships, learn new skills and enjoy their favourite activities.
In some circumstances people may live better lives in our smaller registered care homes across Somerset and Cornwall.
