Hit for six!

People supported by Discovery had a great time taking part in Somerset County Cricket Club’s Learning Disability Cup.

Discovery is one of six learning disability support providers who attended the Cup held at the County Ground on February 5th. The team, made up of people we support, enjoyed themselves, playing three games of cricket in a competitive but good-natured manner against their opponents. Lots of friendships were made – especially with the cricket professionals – and everyone got a certificate and their photo taken.

David rekindled his love for cricket, meanwhile Adam, who was playing for the first time, even scored a 4!

Sadly, we didn’t win, but we congratulate Oakley Care and Somerset Care who came first and second respectively. We look forward to taking part again in the future!
