CQC rating
In the past two months Discovery has received one ‘Good’ and one ‘Requires Improvement’ rating from CQC, the latter service was previously rated ‘Good.’
My colleagues have been doing everything in their power to keep the people we support safe and well at this time and I am extremely proud of my colleagues’ hard work and commitment to keep people safe. I am therefore hugely disappointed by the downgrade from CQC. However, we do not dispute the rating overall.
Our priority now is to act on the feedback within the report. Among other measures well underway, by Christmas every person we support will have had a comprehensive review of his or her support plan and supporting documents whether or not such a review is scheduled.
